Women of Compassion
Meeting Needs Together
Every year, there are approximately 6,000 children in Alabama’s foster care system.
The Women of Compassion giving community is making a direct impact on the lives of hundreds of these foster children, children just like the girls in these stories. By joining this movement, your generosity and your voice are essential to the impact made on the lives of the children and families we serve.
Are you interested in helping give hope to foster children and hurting families across Alabama?
If so, join us in Women of Compassion, and help provide for them in a unique way!
the vision
Through this giving community, women can collectively impact the lives of children and families with a combined gift that is larger than most of us can afford to give as an individual. At our annual luncheon event, Women of Compassion members determine how their yearly contributions are spent.
Three larger ministry needs are presented at the luncheon, and each Women of Compassion member votes for one project that day they would like to see completed. The project gaining the most votes is announced at the conclusion of the luncheon, and soon after, work begins to see it completed within the year!
The Women of Compassion giving community:
Offers opportunities for women to impact lives through an organization committed to serving children and families through Christ-centered services
Votes annually on how the fund is applied for proposed projects of Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries
Keeps women informed about the needs of foster children and hurting families around the state of Alabama
